You're needed on site, not on the phone.

Someone looks for a tradesperson in the evening, rings three firms and goes with the one that picks up. You, meanwhile, are on site. Here is what Traxo takes on for you, job by job — and what it changes over a working week.

In short

A website that gets you found for “your trade + your town”, an AI receptionist that takes the calls when your hands are full, emergency slots kept apart from quoting visits, a deposit asked for at the moment of booking, and Google reviews that arrive without you having to ask. Your services and your durations are set up with you when we install it.

the time people look for a tradesperson — long after your own day has finished.

01

Being found when someone searches for your trade nearby

The search for a tradesperson starts on a phone, in the kitchen, usually in the evening. What comes up first is a Google listing with reviews, an address and a button to call. If you're not there, you don't exist for that customer — even if you've been working in the next street for fifteen years.

Traxo creates your website and your Google listing together, with a page for each service and each town you cover. That is what brings up “plasterer + your town” rather than the quote comparison site that sells the same customer three times over.

  • A page for each service and each area you cover
  • Google listing and Maps created, filled in and kept up to date
  • Photos of your finished jobs, with the town and the type of work

The phone rings while your hands are in the plasterboard

In the building trades you miss some of your calls — it is unavoidable: nobody picks up on a roof or under a sink. The problem isn't the missed call, it's that it never comes back: your customer has dialled the next number before you've had a chance to ring back.

Your AI receptionist answers in your place, with your name. It asks what the work is, the address, whether it's urgent, and offers a slot when it can. You get a four-line summary; you ring back in the evening already knowing what it's about, or not at all if the appointment is booked.

Emergencies and quoting visits, two separate queues

In the building trades, two enquiries can have nothing in common: the breakdown that has to be seen today, and the renovation that starts with a thirty-minute visit. Mixed into one calendar they cancel each other out: the emergency wrecks a day on site, and the quoting visit waits a week.

Traxo sets up two separate queues. Two emergency slots held every morning, quoting visits grouped at the end of the day or over a half-day, long jobs blocked out in full days. Travel time is added between two addresses, and nobody can book you for ten minutes from now.

From the quote to the deposit, without chasing anyone

The customer describes the work before meeting you: area, floor, photos, when they want it done. They see a price range that you have set. The ones looking for something three times cheaper don't book the appointment, and you don't lose an evening driving out for nothing.

After the visit, the quote goes out from your phone and is signed online. The deposit is asked for at signature — that is what holds the date in your calendar and pays for the materials. The seven-day reminder goes out on its own if nothing has moved.

Common mistake

Holding a start date on a verbal promise. With no deposit, the customer keeps the right to carry on comparing — and you have a three-day hole to fill the following week.

05

The reputation that fills next month's diary

A tradesperson is chosen on their reviews before they are chosen on their price. The trouble is that happy customers don't think to leave one, and asking face to face makes everyone uncomfortable.

The request goes out the day after the job finishes, by text, with a direct link to your Google listing. Anyone who comes back with two stars reaches you first, not the public: you ring, you put it right, and it never goes up. The rest feeds the listing that gets you chosen.

“I never used to ring people back in the evening, I was too shattered. Now the quoting appointments are already booked by the time I get home.”

Common questions

Then the question isn't volume, it's filtering. A price range up front and a booking form that asks what the work involves turn away the enquiries that don't interest you, before you drive anywhere. You keep the jobs you actually want to do.

Your trade, in detail

Every trade has its own emergencies, its own timings and its own payment habits. See what that looks like in yours.
