Mid-service, nobody can answer the phone.

The phone rings at 8:15pm, when the dining room is full and the kitchen is sending. That is also the time people ring to book for Saturday. Here is what Traxo takes on for you, job by job — and what it changes over one service.

In short

A Google listing kept up to date with the menu and the opening hours, online bookings capped per sitting, an AI receptionist that takes tables in the middle of the rush, a deposit on large tables and events, and reviews asked for after the meal.

8pm

the time people ring to book: exactly the time you cannot pick up.

1 in 6

booked tables that don't turn up, on a Friday night with no confirmation.

30%

commission on an order placed through a platform, against nothing when it's direct.

People choose you on a listing, a menu and some photos

The customer decides in three minutes, on their phone, often two streets away: they look at the rating, the photos, the menu, and whether you are open tonight. Last year's menu as an unreadable PDF, or the wrong opening hours, and they go elsewhere — you will never know they hesitated.

Traxo keeps your website and your Google listing together: menu up to date, photos of the dishes, real opening hours, closing days, the lunch menu. Booking and ordering sit on both, with nobody in between.

  • Menu, dish of the day and hours changed in a minute
  • Google listing and Maps kept up to date, with your photos
  • Direct booking and ordering, with no commission

The phone in the middle of the rush

Between 7:30pm and 9:30pm nobody can answer properly: either you let it ring, or you shout into the phone on the corner of the bar and write “4 ppl sat” on a ticket that gets lost.

The AI receptionist takes the call in the restaurant's name, offers the slots that are genuinely free, notes the number of covers, the allergies and the name, then books the table in. You get the list kept up to date, without ever looking up from service.

Two sittings, and a number of covers not to go past

The risk isn't running short of customers, it's taking too many at once: fifteen covers arriving at 8:30pm when the kitchen can do ten, and the evening turns bad for everyone — kitchen, floor and guests.

You set the number of covers per slot and per sitting, and online booking stops when it's full. Large tables need your approval, and the floor plan stays yours: Traxo doesn't seat people for you.

The table of ten that doesn't come

A table of ten on a Saturday is a quarter of your dining room, and shopping bought for it. When it doesn't turn up you lose twice: the empty covers and the stock. And a simple oversight is all it takes — usually nobody ever meant to let you down.

The confirmation reminder goes out the day before by text, with a link to cancel in one tap. On large tables, set menus and festive nights, a deposit is taken at booking: the table becomes serious, and so does your shopping.

Common mistake

Taking a table of twelve with no confirmation and no deposit on a party night. The space you turned away from three tables of four isn't coming back at 9pm.

05

Last night's reviews fill Friday's dining room

In hospitality, the rating and the recent reviews decide almost everything: nobody reads reviews from 2021. The happy customer doesn't think to write, but the one who waited for their main course writes that same evening.

The review request goes out the next morning, with the link to your listing. Negative feedback reaches you privately first, which leaves room for a gesture. And your regulars get the weekend menu or the themed evening, when you decide to send it.

“Bookings come in during service without anyone picking up the phone. We've got back the tables we were losing at 8pm.”

Then let's keep it if it suits you, and plug in what is missing: the website, the Google listing, the AI receptionist for the calls, and the reviews. We look at what stays in place when we install it.
