01

Repair or replace, settled upfront

It all turns on one question: can the chip be repaired? The answer depends on its size and where it sits, and it changes the price, the time and the cover. On the phone you go round in circles for five minutes.

The customer sends two photos of the chip with the enquiry. You decide before the appointment, you give the time and what they'll have to pay, and the slot is the right length first time.

  • Photos of the chip asked for at booking
  • Time and cost to the customer given upfront
  • Recalibration planned when the vehicle needs it
02

The excess explained, file built

The customer's first question is about money: “what is this costing me?” Until they understand their cover they put the appointment off — and drive on a windscreen that is spreading.

The form collects the insurer, the policy and the claim number, and the booking explains the cover. The file is ready before the job, and the excess is paid online.

Common mistake

Waiting until the day of the job to talk about insurance. One incomplete file, and the car leaves unrepaired.

03

Mobile jobs grouped by area

A forty-five minute job thirty kilometres away doesn't pay on its own. It's the driving that decides the margin, not the work.

Mobile appointments are grouped by area and by day: the customer only sees the slots on the day you're already near them. Your rounds fill up and your mileage drops.

  • One area a day, slots offered to match
  • Travel counted between two addresses
  • Fitting at the workshop offered when mobile doesn't suit
04

Top of “windscreen + town”

That search happens in the car, usually in the morning, with the chip right there in front of them. The first credible result with recent reviews and a quick booking takes the job.

Your listing and your website are built for that search, job by job and town by town. The review request goes out after the job, which keeps the listing fresh all the time.

“With the photos sent ahead, we know whether it can be repaired before the customer arrives. No more wasted slots.”
