Solution 03Payments

You get paid on your website, and you know what it costs you.

No card machine to rent, no separate subscription, no fees in quiet months. This page sets out what you can take payment for, when, and exactly what it costs you.

Client paying by card
In short

A deposit, full payment or a payment link sent by text: your clients pay by card, the money goes into your account, and every payment is linked to the client and the service. One rate: 3% of what you take online, whatever your plan.

01

3%, and you know exactly what you're paying

3% of the amount you take online, on all three plans. No extra subscription, no card machine to rent, no set-up fee. A month with no online payments costs you nothing.

The fee is shown on every transaction, to the cent, in your summary. Your clients pay nothing extra: the price they see is the price they pay.

  • Nothing to pay in months with no online payments
  • Fees shown for every single transaction
  • No surcharge for your clients
02

You decide when the client pays

Service by service: a deposit at booking, the full amount in advance, or nothing at all if you'd rather be paid on the day. An emergency call-out and a kitchen fitting don't need the same rule.

Your cancellation terms are written down and accepted at the moment of payment — that's what makes a refund easy to handle when it's fair, and a dispute rare when it isn't.

Common mistake

Asking for nothing at booking on long appointments. When nobody turns up for a two-hour slot, that's half a day lost that you'll never get back.

03

A payment link, even without a booking

Extra work agreed on the spot, a part replaced, a quote accepted over the phone: you create a link in ten seconds and send it by text. The client pays by card on their phone, receipt included.

If it isn't paid, the reminder goes out on its own. No more choosing between chasing three times and letting it go.

Payments are handled by Stripe

We never touch your money: payments go through Stripe, one of the most widely used online payment providers in the world. Bank-grade security, compliance and fraud prevention are its job.

The account is set up with you at the start, transfers to your bank go out automatically, and refunds and disputes are dealt with from Traxo, without switching tools.

Your payments, ready for your accountant

Every payment is linked to a client and a service, with its invoice or receipt produced automatically. VAT is shown separately if you're VAT-registered, and invoice numbers always follow on.

At the end of the month, an export goes to your accountant. It's often the easiest hour you'll ever save: no more piles of envelopes to sort at the end of the quarter.
