Solution 05AI receptionist 24/7

It never sleeps. You do.

A missed call is a client ringing the next name on the list. Here's what the AI receptionist does when you can't pick up — and what it never does without your say-so.

Tradesman asleep while his calls are being answered
In short

It answers when you don't pick up, in a calm, natural voice: it listens, notes what the call is about, the address and how urgent it is, then sends you the essentials in four lines. If you want, it offers a slot and books the appointment — or pencils it in until you approve it.

01

Available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week

At night, on Sundays, while you're on holiday or simply when you're under a sink: someone answers. Your client doesn't need to ring a competitor to be heard.

It knows your services, your prices and the area you cover, because you're the one who told it. It speaks calmly, and it never pretends to be human.

  • A natural voice and a calm tone
  • Several calls at once, nobody left on hold
  • It says it's an assistant right from the start
02

It steps in, it doesn't replace you

It only answers if you don't pick up: you choose after how many rings, and at which times it always answers. Your number stays your number.

And you can switch it off with one tap, for an hour or for the week. There's no need to go all the way straight away: most people start with nights and weekends.

Common mistake

Putting it on every call from day one. It's better to start with the hours when you never pick up, listen to what it says, then widen it.

03

You get the essentials, not the recording

Who called, what about, where, and how urgent it is. Four lines on your phone as soon as the call ends — enough to decide in ten seconds whether to call back now or this evening.

The full transcript is there if you want to check a detail, and the call is added to the client's record automatically when the number is known.

04

It can book the appointment itself

If you allow it, it checks your real availability, offers a slot of the right length and confirms the appointment. The client gets their confirmation text before they hang up.

The same rules as your online booking apply: service lengths, travel time, minimum notice, slots you've blocked out. It can't book anything where you don't want anyone.

Real example · plumber, night call-out

A call at 11 pm about a leak. It works out how urgent it is, quotes the night rate exactly as it was set, and books the visit for 7 am the next day. The plumber reads three lines when he wakes up.

05

Or just a provisional booking, if you'd rather decide

It pencils in a provisional slot, and the client knows it isn't confirmed yet. Nothing is final until you approve it, with one tap on your phone.

You can mix the two: automatic booking for a routine service, a provisional booking for a job that needs pricing before you commit.

06

You write the rules

What it can say, what it turns down, what it passes on to you: it's all agreed together at the start, and you can change it at any time. It never gives a price you haven't set.

Every call stays in the history, with what was said and what was decided. Your word remains yours — it never makes promises for you.

Frequently asked questions

It says from the start that it's the assistant for your practice or business. That's deliberate: clients accept a clear assistant far more readily than a voice pretending to be human.

We write it with you. You hear it on the phone before you switch it on.
