Cleaning & hygieneWindow cleaning

Priced by the window, planned by the round.

Your quote comes from the number of windows and how easy they are to reach, and your margin comes from the driving. Here's how to price without going out, and group your visits by area.

Quoting from photos, not on site

Driving out to count windows costs an hour on the road for a €120 quote. That's the line that eats a self-employed window cleaner's margin.

The online enquiry asks for the number of windows, the floor, whether there's a conservatory, and two photos. You price from your phone between jobs, with a range you can stand behind — and you only drive out to work.

  • Number of windows, floor and access asked upfront
  • Photos required for the awkward ones
  • Quote sent without driving out
02

Grouping visits by area

Three jobs in three different towns on the same day is half a day in the van. The same money made in one neighbourhood leaves you two hours better off.

Traxo groups appointments by area and by day: the client picks from the slots on the day you're already near them. Your driving drops without you having to haggle over dates.

A real example

Tuesday is kept for the north side: enquiries from that area only see Tuesday slots, and the round fills itself.

Quarterly visits, steady income

Window cleaning is a repeat trade: shops every month, households two to four times a year. Those contracts are what fill the quiet weeks, and they get lost simply because nobody offers them.

At the end of a one-off job, Traxo offers the client their next visit, as a quarterly contract settled online. The appointments are set in advance and the client gets a reminder before each one.

  • Contract offered at the end of the job
  • Visits set in advance, reminders automatic
  • Invoiced on a fixed date, paid online

A clean shopfront gets noticed

Your shop clients are your best advertising, but it's the Google reviews that get you found by households and by managing agents.

The request goes out the day after the job. Your before-and-after photos, conservatories and big glazed fronts especially, feed the website and reassure people about your kit and your method.

“I price from photos and I don't drive out for quotes any more. My Tuesdays are full, all in the same area.”

Common questions

That's what the photos are for. You price a range and adjust on site if the count was wrong: the client agreed to that upfront.
