The dog sets the length

“A groom” means nothing: depending on the size, the breed, the state of the coat and the dog's temperament, it runs from one hour to three. Get the slot wrong and the whole day slides, with owners waiting in the shop.

The booking asks for the breed, the weight, the coat type and the date of the last groom, then works out the length and the price. You know what is coming, the owner knows the price, and nobody gets a surprise.

Special cases, known in advance

An anxious dog, an elderly one, or one that cannot cope with the dryer needs calm and often a slot to itself. Finding out when the owner opens the door means an hour lost and a stressed animal.

The questionnaire flags the animals that need special handling, and you can keep dedicated slots for them — first thing in the morning, a quiet salon, no other dog waiting.

The reminder at the right time

A dog is groomed every six to ten weeks depending on the breed. Past that, the coat mats, and the work takes longer and is harder — for you as much as for the animal.
